Default Fuel gauge

Turn key on fuel gauge goes to 1/2 tank and stays
new in tank sender. Wires chased no bare spots rubbing. Replaced connector on top of tank. Tried aftermarket gauge same results.

Is the float stuck? If the pump module isn't clocked properly, it'll hit the side of the tank.

Did you check the resistance of the fuel level sender ? It should be between 20 ohms (all up) and 220 ohms (all down). If it never changes then there's still an issue with the fuel pump module.
