Remove the negative better cable leave it like that for 30 minutes or so

Ya I agree. I'm a hands on, gotta see kinda person. Usually pretty good a diagnosis as I was a industrial mechanic for years. Most of the time had to work on the fly. Lol

If you are hearing the pump run for a second when you turn the key that's not an electrical issue. The initial primp(49 psi) is enough to at least run it for a short time until pressure drops. You are not getting pressure, When you installed it did you clock it in the correct direction and is it going to the bottom of the tank?

I usually disconnect the battery, turn on the headlights for a minute, turn 'em off, hook battery back up.

Good point. Yes I need to check position again. Because I believe my float is not dropping all they way. But yes when I installed it I made sure marks in tank and pump line up.

I also purchased new fuel pump fuse, new fuel pump relay and the #3 ignition fuse. Getting ready to hook battery back up will check clock marks on pump and tank and give it a whirl.

To you as well. Keep the clean side up, and the greasy side down.
