i have a 2001 1500 4 wheel drive and the transfer case will not stay in 2 wheel high i cannot drive it like this 4 low works 4 high works and 2 high works till you start down the road then it works its way into neutral can anyone tell how to repair or correct this problem

 

Did you ever check the snap ring on the output shaft?

 

I would be tempted to look at the shift linkage as well. If it's sloppy, it may not be engaging all the way.
