Took out seat on 1998 12 valve 2500 for an identical 1999 seat from a 1500 gas. 98 had 4 pin wire harness where the 99 has 3 pins. (4 wires as apposed to 3). How to wire it so seatbelt releases and dash seatbelt light goes off

You can download the service manual from here. We don't have separate manuals for 98 and 99 though.... Wonder if the 97 manual would work instead for the older truck.... might be, if it was an early build 98.

 

Can't do it. As 98 used as computer just for the seat belts that they got rid of I'm 99. I ran into the same problem with my 2500. Now you could just pull the harness out of the 98 seat and put it into the to 99.

 

lol get rolled you dont even have power seats the 5.4 is way better lol...
