Default Transmission oil cooler line disconnect clip

Hello,
I am replacing the rubber tranny oil cooling lines with the quick disconnects at the tranny oil cooler. One line was not leaking and had this retaining clip on it, and the other one was leaking and had no clip. I can't find that clip anywhere, not even the dealer. My truck is an '01 2500 diesel. Any suggestions as to where to get them or if I need them at all? A lot of repair pictures I see don't have the clips, but maybe they have already removed them.

Many thanks in advance,
Chuck

Yep, not needed. I see those on fuel lines on a fairly regular basis, but, they aren't really needed there either. The quick-connects hold on pretty good. There are O-rings inside that seal them. I think you can replace them, as opposed to replacing the entire connector.
