Ticking Under Acceleration
I know there have been other threads on this issue but none with a resolved problem. I just got the truck and do not know if this is normal from them (1997 dodge ram 4x4). It ticks from about 1000 rpm to about 2500 rpm. Above 2500 rpm I can not tell if it still does it or if the exhaust drowns out the sound.
When it ticks:
Under Acceleration--- any from light to heavy
When in drive with the foot held on the brake and not moving in that rpm range--- to me rules out anything after the transmission.
When it doesn't tick
In park or neutral revving the engine
Coasting
Checked exhaust clamps that bolt the header to the pipe they are tight
Could it be an exhaust leak? Something in the Transmission? Flex Plate Bolts? Plenum (replaced the gasket when I got the truck maybe 500 miles ago)
I'm just lost and if someone could point me in a direction that would be great.
Oh and by the way it sounds like it is either in front or below the driver's seat.

I'll look down to see if there is oil at the plate but I am doubtful since was just replaced. I'm not sure what spark knock sounds like. I can record and post an unlisted video to youtube of the sound if that would be helpful to get an idea of where it might be coming from.
The plenum does not seem to be leaking.
I do not think what I have is spark knock if it sounds like anything in this video here:
