Hello, I have a 1996 Dodge ram 1500 standard cab, shortbed, 5.2liter gas engine, 2WD with 275,000 miles. I bought the truck new in 1996. I do most of the maintenance, repair and bodywork work myself. The radio has part number PO4858556AC. The FM band on the radio has stopped working and I only get AM. I can get another radio, but I want to keep this as original as I can and have experience in fixing electronics. If I can get the schematics for the radio I can find out the issue instead of shot-gunning parts.

Does anyone know where I can get a set of schematics of the radio internal printed circuit boards? Who made the radios for the dodge 2nd generation trucks?

 

Would have to find out who originally made it, and chat with them..... Factory service manual doesn't get that detailed.

Or, if there is an electronics repair shop around, might ask them if they can help ya out.

 

I thought the service manual said Panasonic or Motorola made them

 

Likely printed on the case somewhere.......
