So I’ve finally got my first truck and thank god it’s not a Ford lol

but just off hand I was wondering if anyone knew where I could acquire a lowering kit for the 4x4 model or if they even make one, any help is appreciated

I don't believe they make one. Why are you lowering it? If you look up racing ryan on YouTube he lowered it with only $20 in parts but if requires you have a jack, tools, and a grinder

Why do people want to lower a 4X4 and lift a 4X2?

It's 2021. Everything's backwards, upside down, and inside out. The Matrix has been reset.

Lowering the truck will reduce it's ability for off road or poor weather use. My past Dodges would go off road and bust through 2 feet of snow with 3-4 foot drifts. They still have good road manners. You will affect road manners as the suspension is designed with people who have lots of letters behind their names. If access to the truck is a problem, add steps to it. Get the long ones that go back to the rear wheel opening like this one;

Now, your truck won't look like that one as that is a 2500 4X4 with the 8800 pound chassis. The steps let you get into the bed from the side, they look good, when clean, and once you get the hang of it, getting in and out is a breeze. My ex was 4'11 and she had no problems, after I put them on.
