Default 4x4 issues

so i was in the snow this last weekend and i got stuck in 2wd so i dropped it into 4x4 and still couldnt get out as if my front wheels were not turning. my buddy said dud your back tires are spinning but your fronts dont. the truck also has a 4x4 light that comes on when engaged but after we did the clutch kit and shoved the tranny back to do the clutch, the light dosnt come on. is the light some how connected to a sensor and it came unplugged? idk. i also just did a transfer case fluid change. any ideas or what to do?

thanks

Most likely it's the CAD as it's vacuum operated and a common problem. The light is on the CAD and the CAD is mounted to the axle on the passenger side. There is also a vacuum switch on the transfer case which is known to go bad

My guess would be the vacuum lines between the engine, and t-case are the issue. Either pulled off the switch on the t-case, or broken somewhere between.

definitely sounds like the vacuum line that controls the 4x4, very easy to find and fix. Passenger side on the axle
