Hey guys, building a custom 95 3500 cummins.... Wiring stuff up at the moment and having trouble getting the signal indicator wired up...
Im using an after market wiring harness, have a turn signal power feed and left and right branches, I have the original diagram, and figured red/grey would be the power supply, with green /red being left, and brown /pink being right.... But do not get any continuity when selected.... Have tried all kinds of combinations and still no luck.... Anyone have any thoughts on this? It was working fine previously, so no reason to suspect the switch is busted....
Basically right, however dark green/red and brown/pink are the rear turn signals only (when off they are connected to the brake light switch). Tan/black and light green/yellow are for the fronts and instrument panel indicators so check those. Not to insult you but the hazard has to be off otherwise the red grey is disconnected.

So that was actually quite helpful as for some reason I had convinced myself that 'down' should have been 'on' for the hazards...not the case.... Which was what was causing the problem.... this is the project.... Knowing which, I would imagine you can understand the two rear wires which I was using would have accomplished the job..since I was I am just using the multi function switch as a switch... I'm using an ez wiring harness, everything else custom... But I'm using the stock steering column and therefore it only made sense to use the stock multi switch....I've identified the hazard wire in the multi switch to be the white /tan.... But I imagine it will need constant power fed to its other side.... I understand from the drawing that should be black /white.... Only problem in that case is that there isn't one.... Thoughts?
The white/tan in the bottom left of the diagram gets power from the brake light switch when the brakes are used. As you wrote there should be a black/white wire, look what's coming out of the connector on pin 14 maybe it's a different color for some reason. In any case the black/white does get the output from the hazard flasher, not constant power.
Nice project I always liked the look of the old Power Wagons but they are dog slow, putting the cab on a 2nd gen fixes that I guess
