I'm about to re-install the transfer case in my '96 Ram 2500 and was curious to know what the thread sizes are on the 6 studs that connect the transfer case to the rear of the transmission. The double sided studs are a Dodge part number 4746253, according to the parts manual, but they don't list the thread sizes. I'm thinking they are either 10MM x 1.50 & 10MM x 1.00 or 3/8" x 16 & 3/8" x 24, but wanted to be sure before I run a tap and die over them.

 

Well, I think I found the answer. The double end studs are 3/8" x 16 & 3/8 x 24, as the nut (Dodge part #6033172) used with these studs is listed as being 3/8" x 24.
