Default Softer shocks?

This truck rides like a chuck wagon and has from day one. I'm getting old and kinda beat up and really need a softer ride. I replaced the shocks last year with factory style shocks but it's still killing my back on rough roads. Any ideas or suggestions on getting a softer ride?

Keep air to 35 psi, use P rated tires, throw a couple hundred lbs in the bed. Otherwise, you'll have to get a car as that's the lightest and "softest" Ram made.
