Default Ram 1500 axle swap

Anyone know if the rear end of a 3rd gen dodge (2002 and up) will fit under my 2001 1500? The only difference is that the 3rd gen is disk brakes, it looks like the caliber bracket is just clamped on the axle tube and im thinking the drum brake mounting points are still there? Or how hard is it to convert the drum brakes to disk brakes? This is the only axle I can find with my gear ratio and limited slip so im kinda stuck with this one option but not sure if it will work, any info would be great thanks!

Don't know..... I *think* it's the same axle. I would grab the proportioning valve as well, and just use the rear disks.

Measure between the spring perches. See if they are the same. Might have to change the pinion yoke so your driveshaft will work.

I commented on his other thread I believe the leafs are wider (3in) in a third gen if my memory is correct. Also proportioning valves are the same
