Default Anything between 9.25 and D60/70?

I'm wanting to Frankenstein a "heavy half" with a '98 1500 4x4. Was there anything more heavy duty than the 9.25 but still 5 lug? Don't want to mess with 2 spares.

Was there a SF D60 used at any point? Not opposed to trying to re-drill bolt patterns but not sure it'd be possible on a FF, stepping down to a 5.5 BC

The Off-Road Edition 1500 (2000-2001) Had a braced rear axle, but, think that's all your gonna find that is a direct swap. All the 2500/3500's were full floaters, and you just aren't going to be able to put a 5 lug pattern on those. Maybe something from an older truck, but, then you would be missing the rear wheel speed sensor.

To my knowledge (I'm not always right even though my girlfriend says I am ) it was just a plain 9.25

You could use a Dana 60 and convert the flanges to accept 5 bolt car axles. This is done with folks that use Dana 60 rears in race cars quite regularly.
