Default Cylinder 8 misfire

I've switched most of the stuff available. I did a plugs(ngk) and wire change that worked for a few weeks but it popped on after I got on it a bit. I switched them for champions and now it's coming on every time I drive it. I've done the plenum aluminum plate mod. I'm going to swap the dizzy and the rotor button. I also swapped the injectors for ones with healthier o rings around the same time as the plugs and wires and plenum fix.

Did you check the compression on #8 ? Could be distributor cap as well, look for corrosion or signs of arcing. Rather uncommon though on these engines.

+1 on the compression check. I get the cylinder 8 misfire code to. My compression on cylinders 7 and 8 are about 20psi lower than my other cylinders.

Not yet. I'll do it Sunday and do a leak down test if I can figure it out. She's running better with the champions. I'm having good stretches where she doesnt miss at idle or on take off or in overdrive. Which is making me alot more confident. I did an oil change though the oil only had about 1k or 1.5k since I did the motor swap. Also on a note I didnt regap #8 like i did the rest I'm gonna do that when I do compression. I might also run some seafoam through the intake.

what do you do to deal with the low compression?

Figure out why it's low. If it goes up on a wet test (a spoon full of oil through the spark plug hole) then it's rings and it's time for a rebuild

Well guys I did a compression check and it was quite low. The checker was leaking so I couldn't get any accurate reads but 1 and 7 were around 130 and 8 is reading around around 70. I'm guessing those numbers are about 20 lower than actual. I didn't do a wet test. Currently I'm trying the marvel method to see if I can unstick rings. Hasn't worked on the first use and week or driving to work. I'll likely grab another gauge and do a wet test.
