FOr christmas i received a brush guard for my truck. Ordered from AllTypeTrailers.com, when i started to remove the packaging i noticed a couple small scratches on the back.... ok not a big deal cant see them anyway. As i removed the rest of the packaging, i saw that the top bar had a dent in it! I was pissed. Tomorrow i will be calling them to get a 100% refund or get it replaced with another brand new one. I'll post an update tomorrow to tell you all how it went.

 

It may not have been their fault, though I would imagine that they would replace it anyways, often things like that are damaged in the shipping process.

 

I really can't see it being a shipping issue. The box was in perfect condition when i received it. Not bent, smashed ripped, no holes nothing.

 

my dad just had a simalr problem with getting is bumper rechromed for his 68 gto the bumper came and had cracks in all the corners and now he's getting jerked around by ups and the place he got it chromed at

 

Ok, first , relax..pissed wont get you anywhere, take it from me, I had that guys job that your about to call. Ask them to do this... Send a CALL TAG for the item, repack it and slap teh label on they send or, have your print via email. Then say, " I lke the product, would you please send me another one, and would you inspect it first please?" mostof the timethey will HAPPILY comply... be nice, getsya a LOT further..

 

i agree...just let them know what you found when opening the box. tell them that the box didnt have any damage. as long as they are a reputable company, then they should cover it.

 

then, if they don't handle it properly.. you call teh dredit card company and as long as it wasn't a check card you used.... file a stop payment.... things happen amzingly fast like that

 

I called the company today (as politely as possible) and explained the situation. Bad news is the shipping part of the company doesnt come back until the 2nd.[:@] They blamed it on shipping right away and i explained about the box and the guy told me there was nothing he could do so now i just have to wait until next week.....

 

Man that sucks! But in my opinion, what can the shipping dept. do for you that the guy you talked to couldn't handle?! Shipping is there for one purpose and thats to get things shipped out. They don't have time to handle customer service issues. I call BS on the company. Good luck man!

 

I'd call teh credit card company NOW and get things started, this is already an indicator your gonna be pissed...
