If you've got a plasma you can cut a door like the old-school flannel "onesy" pajamas in the posterior. Peel open, knock everything out, push it shut and weld it back up with low heat and .023.

Bonus points if there's a heat shield that's tacked in place because once you tack that back on and a little rust and dust accumulates it looks completely untouched.

You'll pass a visual with flying colors.

My GMC Safari has 359,000 miles on it. Original cat as far as I know, it would have had to have been changed before 100,000 if it is not original. Is the cat doing what it's supposed to? Have no idea. All I know is it runs good and fuel economy is as good as it has ever been.
