Default AC system holds vacuum on machine but AC doesnt work after a week of use.

Hello i tried fixing my AC this past week and it held a vacuum on the machine for a good 30 minutes, so i refilled it and it worked for a week or so. now it doesnt not work. im wondering if it could be the valves the machine hooked onto? maybe a seal leaking slowly? Any help would be appreciated thank you!

Few things here. Also pull a vacuum and leave it sit for at least an hour. Need to see if there is any freon left. I had the same problem, mine was a bad (would see it spray out after disconnecting gauges) leaking schrader valve. Replaced the valve still leaked. So I threw some stop leak in and it fixed it for now.

See if you can rent a refrigerant sniffer, or add dye to the system.
