2500 springs on a 1500
Hey guys, Ive looked around at this sight and Ive looked through some old posts. I know you can put 2500 springs on a 1500 dodge ram. This is my question, If I am going to do this, where do I get the parts from, and what parts do I need? Will I need to replace the shocks or anything, also do I need to do anything with the rear suspension? I dont want my truck to sit overly high, I have an 86 Jeep Cj-7 with a 4" suspension over the springs for a total of almost 10" of lift for when I want to do some deep bogging, But I really like the way a 2500 sits next to my 1500.
Any Help would be appreciated. Thank you.

hope you mean "coil" springs......2500 rear springs are 3" wide, where-as 1500 springs are 2.5" wide so they're not interchangeable.
Coil springs you can do......i put cummins diesel springs on my 1500, then added 3" add-a-leafs to the rear as well as 4" blocks to get it to sit almost level again. Rear is MAYBE 1" higher than the front at the most.
Rides nice too, not like a tank like i thought it would

I also have 3/4 ton springs in front, gave me about 2.5". did the 2" spacers in the rear. rear sits about 1" higher than the front. ride is a little on the harsh side but that could be the shocks.
