Hi guys, I've got a weird one here. I recently had my tranny rebuilt and as I drove away my shifter did something weird. While it moves side to side no problem and shifts fine , the shifter arm now moves forward and backward towards the dash excessively . I noticed that there is a little spring at the base of the shifter just behind the pivot/hinge pin that looks like it's broken. I hope I've explained this well enough and that maybe one of you has had some experience with it . Thanks

 

May have to replace the column, as I don't think there are many individual parts available for them...... Or, tear down a junkyard column, and get the parts you need from it.
