Default P1757 Code

Hey guys, I've looked at the forums and I understand that the code refers to the solenoid and other sensors that on that little block that attaches to the valve body. But I just want to know if maybe its just small electrical error.

The other day my truck threw P1757 and P0740. I know P0740 refers to the torque converter and ive had that code before. I erased it, went away and no problems. I did this same thing this time with the 2 codes and it went away and hasn't come up since. I've replaced the sensors and solenoids a year ago with fresh fluids and filter. Fluid level and color is good still. Not the smoothest in shifting, especially from 1 to 2, but it was like that since i got the truck, so i think thats a band issue.

Was it just a small electrical error or should I start getting parts to do this job all over again?

Thanks in advance

What brand parts did you get? My 96 would like to throw TCC and O/D codes, even though they seemed to work perfectly.... I think what happens is, if the solenoid doesn't engage INSTANTLY, the computer interprets the delay as a failure... I just cleared codes, and they would stay gone for a while. (six months to a couple years....)

So long as the codes stay gone, don't worry about it.
