Cab Swap 97 onto 96
Thinking of doing a cab swap 97 1500 5.9l gasser cab to a 96 2500 5.9l gasser both 4x4
what will I need too transfer over ??.
Everything seems too look identical. Same eng. Same transmission. Except the axles u joints.
Will be my first swap.. need all advise I can get .

Welcome to DF.
Should be a pretty straightforward swap. You can use the electronics and wiring from the 97 cab, as I think the only difference is possibly some wire colors.
Everything should plug right in, and work just fine. The 2500 should have an NP241 T-case, but, that just doesn't matter. Still has the VSS in the tailshaft, and the connector should be the same.
Moving this to second gen Ram section for ya.
