My 99 ram wont go into reverse unless I give it gas which in turn slams it into reverse , my question is , could it be a pressure solenoid problem or something else ? all the other gears seem to shift fine while in drive tranny fluid level is good.

 

Wouldn't hurt to change the governor pressure stuff, and adjust the bands while you are in there. Fluid and filter as well.
