As in daisy chain them together? Is there any concern of too much resistance to flow?

Yep, use both.

Only if one or the other (or both..) are clogged up. Wouldn't hurt to flush 'em both.

I installed a trans temp gauge a few years ago in my ram. It's an autometer gauge, and I put the sending unit in the pan. This provides the advantage of the temp sender also functioning as a drain plug. I believe I bought a B&M drain plug kit, and the sending unit had the right threads to thread right into it. Don't quote me though, been too long to remember.

I mounted my gauge in the dash using this mount from genos. Had to trim the shims a bit to make it sit flush, but overall I'm happy with it. Like the location since I never used the little cubby anyway.
