Default 2nd gen map sensor prices

Why are these things so dang expensive for our trucks? I'm looking at over 80 bucks. I see map sensors for other types of trucks for 25 or 30.

Sorry, the title was supposed to be 2nd gen. I was looking at places like napa, o'riley, autozone. I can find it cheaper online but I don't understand the huge price difference.

Probably a matter of scale. GM/Ford likely sell a a LOT of 'em, so, they are cheaper..... Could just pick one up from the junkyard. Really not a failure prone part.

It's crazy, I can find it for 20 bucks online and 80 bucks around town.

Order online. Even with shipping, it'll still be cheaper.

What makes you think it needs replaced??
