unknown tbh. It was a used engine I paid $200 for after mine blew up. The guy said it had maybe 160k on it he wasn’t for sure he us led it out and it sat in a barn for 2 years. I put the engine in. Put about 10k on it. Head gasket blew. I did a budget rebuild on it. New gaskets seals and stuff on it. Double roller timing gear with +4 timing advance. Other then that it still has all the original internals. And it’s probably gots out 190k on it now
Ok do you think that I should replace my valve springs also?
I didn’t. Mainly because I have another engine I’m in the process of building. If you plan on turning more than 5k rpm a lot then better springs would be ideal. But if your just looking for a daily that’s going to be below 3k 90% or the time then the stock ones will be fine
well that's fine if I get more performance for the same mpg.
yea you definitely will. I’m still trying to locates either w Hughes intake or edlebrock intake to get rid of the stock kegger. I thought about cutting the runners out and sending it. And I need a 52mm throttle body that no one seems to make anymore
