I would keep looking if I were you, you'll find something you like. My next ride will be something newer than a 2nd gen truck tho, unless its a 2nd gen diesel or v10. The 5.2 , 5.9 just don't have the ***** that most of the newer rigs [or even some older ones] do,even after dumping $1000 of dollars into upgrades for them. Good luck in your search.

Hi guys,
I bought a new rear bumper that was OEM for an unbelievably low price. I couldn't believe it. Anyway I checked the tailgate price for you with them and they only charge about $280 for a brand new tailgate. Their website is

http://www.auto-bodyparts.com/index.php

I don't know where the tailgate is made, but if it's anything like my bumper then it should be worth it. Painting only the gate should be about $125 if you know someone who sprays in their garage.

I can't believe you let that 360 reg cab go. What were you thinking????? I have a 5.2 reg cab I paid 4.5k for cash and I have PLANS for this baby. Maybe a phoenixgraphics.com strip kit and 408 stroker to make a SS/T replica or something!

Don't ever let a jewel like that go. Unless you financed it or something.

Just a RAM fan's opinion....

I know were your coming from, I used to think the same thing and I still do. The fact is that I just want a 4x4 now. I came to a crossroads about a month ago. I was stuck between keeping my truck and dumping tons of money into it or selling it. If I did this that would have meant that I would had to drove it another 4-5 yrs. I came really close to dropping a 400+ hp mopar crate engine in it too. But I finally decided to get rid of it while I still could. I had actually been trying to trade or sell the truck for about 2 months now. I do miss my truck but I think I made the right choice. I just simply grew tired of it and want something different. But don't get me wrong, I'm still a die hard Dodge fan.

If you are ever up in PA area, you should think about looking around here for an off road ram. After reading the posts, I took a look at autotrader and found a few around me in the same general price range as the one you were looking at. I think you did the right thing with the tan one, if you don't have a good feeling about it, there is no point in taking a chance. There are plenty more off road rams out there, it is just a matter of taking your time to find the one you want.

I know how you feel man. Before I drove my Stratus, I had a really sweet Motorsports Edition Clubcab Dakota. Great ride, plenty of room, and a really nice looking 4x2 truck. I NEVER had any problems with it short of general maintenance and upkeep. I got rid of it because gas was becoming a problem and I drove way too much to keep a gas eating truck.

Since going to my Stratus, I now save about $110 a month in gas. I still miss my truck, as it was indeed a worthwhile purchase. I was really glad to see that the dealership kept the truck on their lot, as it was sold to someone else within 3 days. They actually were quite surprised, as it was the first truck off the lot in almost 3 weeks supposedly.

You always get attached to a good truck or car, especially if it has great memories. I'm sure you will find something that will become as equally loved as Ol Blackie was. By the way, maybe you should read your Local Trader or Thrifty nickel.....maybe you can find yourself a CTD or a 2500 that you could really play with.

Good luck either way man, and that was a sweet lil truck you let go.
