Park/tail lights not working
Hello all!
My park/tail lights on my 94 Ram 1500 Laramie SLT 2WD are not working. Dash, instrument lights, radio display, interior lights all are functioning normally. Headlights also function properly. Have checked and verified fuses, lamps, sockets, wiring loom. Suspected main light switch, but jumping terminals in the connector does not light them up. Any suggestions? Perhaps a link to wiring diagram?
Thanks in advance to any and all who respond.

I had this kinda happen today at shop I work at, truck had no reverse lights….verified wiring fuses and bulbs, verified power, had to bend light light contacts inside the connector because they were not making good contact…..maybe same issue?
After pulling the main light switch and cleaning the connections, now the instrument panel lights also do not light.
Headlights and interior lights still function normally.
This thing may drive me to drink 🤪

The headlight switch in 2nd gen Dodge trucks is famous for melting down due to the load it handles. Check the switch closely and possibly replace, if necessary. When I replaced my switch, I noticed that some of its connection points had loosened due to heat/overload. Also, consider putting the headlights on their own relays to eliminate future issues and improve brightness. LMC and other outlets sell the harnesses. There are threads on this site about how to install the relay setup in a do-it-yourself manner, if so inclined.

At the switch there should be 12V at the pink/red wire (pin 4). Given that your instrument cluster lighting works that should be fine. Did you jump that wire to the black/yellow wire (pin 9) ? If that didn't work there is one of Chrysler's infamous "joint connectors" hiding at the inside fuse panel. From there it goes to splice S105 in the front of the vehicle, see service manual for the location of the splice. All the wires are black/yellow so they should be easy to locate.
The rear center spade of the harness connector is the one showing heat/partial melt. Corresponding spade of switch was only slightly discolored. All spades on the switch are tight and show continuity to other terminals depending on switch position.
Great idea to put headlamps on dedicated relays to lighten switch load. I will do that as a future project.

Yeah, after re-reading the original post I realized that it didn't say anything about brake lights or turn signals. The problem is both front and rear marker lights are not working, correct ?

Also found it interesting that while attempting to jump pins, and when moving light switch harness, my ABS unit outboard of the brake master cylinder intermittently clattered. Apparently I angered the Gremlins and Demons. Hopefully AMC and 70's Dodge Darts will pardon my pun. 🤣
