Default Oil leaking from orange wire/plug near oil filter 2001 5.9 gas

Hi, I've tried to find info on this, but can't find it anywhere. I have a pretty large oil leak that appears to be coming from an orange wire that runs into the block, just next to the oil filter. It's located right above the bracket that goes from the transmission to the engine on the passenger side. I've had to top it off multiple times due to losing pressure from low oil. It's been just over 2 quarts low each time. Before someone asks, it's not my sender switch, valve covers, oil filter housing, rear main, or and of the front seals, it appears to just be coming from the orange wire. If anyone knows what this is called that would be awesome.

I would try adding some engine dye into the oil and check it with a black light. Or remove the connector and see if any oil is leaking from either the connector or the sensor. We did have a problem with power steering switches leaking and pushing fluid thru out the wire harness.

That pic looks like a freeze plug not a orange wire? And if it is it would be leaking coolant not oil.

Given its location, it looks like a block coolant drain plug to me, however, it would be helpful to clean it off and take another photo of it to be sure.

After reading the message, The member had said they were adding engine oil at least two qts, Or I would have said the same thing. Soft or freeze plug. That is why I recommend engine dye to help find the leak.
