Default 1999 Ram 1500 electrical problems

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Magnum V-8 and all of a sudden when I cranked the engine my instrument cluster lights, cargo lights, interior lights,
wipers, radio, cigarette lighter all went off. I checked all the fuses and they were fine. Cleaned the sockets and the fuses. Tested the wiper relay and
it was fine. One odd thing I found is that the wiper fuse has no power on either side of the socket. I would appreciate any help, thanks Arthur

Check your battery connections. Especially the ground cable.

Welcome to DF! Moving this to 2nd Gen Ram section for ya.

Default HeyYou

Thank for your reply! Yes I have already done this not only 1 time, but 3 times and to no avail.. All my lights work except those I mentioned, and they would not
work if I had a bad battery connection would they? I changed the battery for another one and that did not correct the problem

So everything works until you turn the ignition to start? Do they turn off in "run" also? There are a lot of connections in the column. Time to start tracing power and definitely under the fuse box. There's also several grounds at multiple places. Time to check them all.

Double check fuses 10 and 2 in the PDC and check there is voltage to them in the socket. If they check out, go to the ignition switch. Pin 4 and 7 (pink/black and red) should have constant power, pin 2, 5 and 6 (dark blue, black/orange and black/white) should have power with the ignition on.
