Default Too much oil?

Hey guys, I just topped my oil off because it was DANGEROUSLY low, I have a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L V8; says the truck can take 4.9L of Oil, I only added about 3 maybe even less Liters.

However, my dipstick looks like this. IS IT TOO MUCH OIL?

Looks fine to me. Did you start the truck, let it run for a few minutes then shut it off and let it sit for a few minutes before checking?

Yes I did, I actually got underneath and cracked the drain bolt and let a bit out to get the level just under SAFE.
