Default powerlocks broken

i bought a used 2000 1500 and the power locks dont work in it. i have taken the door panel off and used a volt meter on the connector plug.

when i press the button up (to the unlock position) i get a reading of +12
when its stationary in the middle it reads -12
when i press the button down (to the lock position) i get a reading of 0

same occurs on the passenger side switch

im thinking the owner before had a remote start or alarm system, and removed it when he sold it. has anyone had this happen? and any ideas on how to fix this? possoibly a wiring diagram on the lock system?

ive checked all the fuses in the side panel in the dirvers side door. nothing wrong there.

im confused, and i just want my locks to work

possibly email me at beingdevious at gmail dot com since i dont check this forum much...

I had a aftermarket remote start/entry crap on mine, i took it all off, and when doing so I had to cut some existing wires that was tapped into that system, while i was putting it back together I experienced the same thing, your problem will probably lie under the the panel directly below the steering wheel, before u go in and start looking around, get a wiring diagram, look for the wires that feed the power door lock relay in that panel i mentioned above. If you are not savvy at this you can always take it to someone who installs those start/remotes, ask them to take a look and see if someone had one installed and If there is anything not put back together, they usually only charge a small amount of $$$$, I took my daughter toyota in and had them look at hers, only because I couldnt find a diagram

ok, the only thing i can fine is 3 cut wires. but i know exactly what they are. theres a 2 guage power supply line for an amp, the RCA line, and the remote blue wire. i cant find anything else cut. i did manage to get ahold of a wiring diagram. [thanks btw to tech_john on another forum] i just have yet to look at it.

Did you ever figure it out? Mine keeps acting up. It works then it doesn't and back and forth.
