Cowl Seals Part Search - Stumped!
Love this forum. I've done a lot of reading here while working to restore/repair my 1999!
I have been trying to buy the foam cowl seals the ones that go on either side of the hood-to-cowl center rubber seal (which is relatively easy to get). These are PN 55135342 and 55135343 from the manual. They fit apparently 1994-2002. I have looked everywhere (LMC, Google, NOS dealer inquiries, etc.) with no luck. These are almost always missing or damaged when trying to find them on junkyard trucks. This is a great group here so I am hoping someone else can advise a good way to replace these. I would like to buy an OEM part or equivalent but I am open to crafting my own out of foam if someone can advise a way to do this properly.
All ideas are welcomed and will be fully exploited.
Thanks in advance.

Here is an email response I received this morning from a query I sent to LMC. Just FYI.
We are showing the part 56-5202 is out of stock for 5-6 weeks from now, We are showing that the part number 56-5203 is out of stock and it cannot be back ordered. We would advise you to check back with us periodically every 5-6 weeks for an update.
I am still holding out hope that someone may have these and be willing to sell them or that I could get some advice how to make them. They are simple cutout shapes of some kind of foam.
Thanks to all

I think you can get a generic seal from some of the aftermarket manufactures. Look through the generic section of seals and match it.
