Default New transmission but still leaks

Hello all

So I just got my 1995 ram 1500 5.9 with the 46rh transmission back and it seems to have leaks everywhere. Well they are not really big ones where the is a huge puddle but I can see that where the transmission and transfer case meet up and on the pain. Also the full transmission seems to just be weepy where it just looks wet. It reminds me of a rear differential that just looks wet all the time.

So the question is not so much the leaks on the pain but more so should the transmission look wet all the time or is this normal. Maybe just a stupid question but after spending 4000 on this transmission to me it should be perfect.

Most autos keep ATF in tailshaft housing to lube park pawl. There should be a gasket or sealant between t-case and transmission (tailshaft housing aka t-case adapter)

Did you have the transmission repaired at a shop? If you did, I would take it back.

There is a seal in the rear of the 46RH 4x4 transmission case where the transfer case bolts up to it. If you got the transmission work done at a shop, I'd take it back to them and ask them about your leak.
