I just went through this problem with my 1996 Ram about a month or so ago. I was lucky and had my scanner with me when the truck died in the middle of the road. I scanned the PCM and it came up with a code for a faulty crank sensor. I was lucky enough to get the truck running by disconnecting/reconnecting the battery to reset the PCM and off I went again. As soon as I got home, I ordered a MOPAR crank sensor via a dealer online. Installed the new OEM crank sensor and all is well with the truck now. I had once replaced the crank sensor before with a BWD part, but it only lasted about 2 - 3 years before it gave up the ghost.

You can use Delphi, They are a oem supplier to the auto makers of various things. That's what crank sensor is in mine for the last 7 years. Don't ever buy BWD!

What about fuel pumps for these trucks? Delphi as well as a preferred supplier?
