Hey guys. So this summer I finally want to have my ac replaced. It was removed when I got it because of a bad compressor that snapped my belt. I want to have ac this year so the wife doesn't kill me. So I have a 96 truck and a 2001 motor. I do know that I need a new compressor and condenser because I no longer have the parts . Lines are still intact. So what I'm wondering is what years did they keep the same ac setup till? Or did they not change the parts or layout from 94-01? Also could I use the same parts off the 2500 and 3500 models ? Thanks for the help

 

You need a 96 condenser and lines. Compressor don't matter as they are all the same on the V8s. You can use 2500/3500 parts as long as it has a V8. I would recommend the RockAuto kit that comes with everything.

 

Get a new receiver/dryer also.
