Speed shifting for 1000 miles?
Hey all, new account because I couldn’t load into my other on my phone. my clutch stopped working yesterday when I rolled into Taos NM. I have to get back to south west Montana tomorrow and was planning on speed shifting just floating at the right rpms all the way up highway 25. But my question here is if I smoothly shift between 3rd, 4th and 5th gear all the way home 985 miles how bad is it to still drive if It is the pilot bearing that is dickered? I replaced clutch master and slave with a pre bled system and it didn’t fix the problem. Clutch engagement itself feels good. Which leaves me thinking the pilot bearing is all that’s left to cause this kind of problem.
truck is a 94 2500 4x4 with nv4500 252k miles. Transmission was serviced 5000 miles ago by reputable shop who said it was really healthy.

Should work no problem. Don't know if the 94 has a clutch interlock but if it does I would jumper it so there is no need ever to push down the pedal when starting the engine from a dead stop. Otherwise just shift gently feeling for the revs to match. I had to drive like that in a large city once, that was fun !
