From what you write, it seems as though your transmission got damaged when you used it without the clutch. If it did, then its broken and needs to be fixed or replaced. However, it might be just slightly damaged. Make sure that the truck isn't sitting on any sort of incline with the weight of the truck sitting against the gear preventing the truck from rolling forward or back. Have a couple of friends rock the truck back and forth and see if you can get it out of gear. Did you bleed the clutch? Not enough information here to make any suggestions other than you gotta find a friend who knows more and can be hands-on to lend a hand. Clutch problems are fairly straight forward to anyone with real experience. Don't take advice from anyone who hasn't actually replaced a clutch themselves. This forum is only going to give advice and if you have a bad clutch and maybe a damaged transmission, there isn't anything less than an actual hands-on repair that is going to help.

What was the symptom of the bad clutch (not releasing, slipping, etc). If it was slipping, then it probably needs a new disc. If it wasn't releasing, it could be either broken pressure plate (do they still use diaphragm springs?), bent / broken throw out arm, or linkage / hydraulic issue. You say you replaced the slave cylinder, so we will assume you got all the air out of it.

Can you rock the truck back & forth while someone puts some pressure on the shifter to help nudge it out of gear? How were you driving it without the clutch? That might help us understand what happened.

Ok. So i was driving without clutch by shifting with rpms. And turning engine off at stops to go into first or reverse. When i replaced slave cylynder the plunger had ben pushed out. Not sure where it ended up. I am thinking since i cannot find a transmission i may have to poen up gear box and see. I think it was second gear that had a problem pmost likely from the other driver never let rpms drop enough to go onto 2nd, but being a beginner/intermediate mechanic is a trans. Rebuild a good option or is it possible to just change the bad gears.

Yea, I've driven without a clutch a few times and it can be done if the traffic cooperates for those times when you need to almost stop. Bad luck with traffic can ruin your day. In my case it was a small truck and my battery and starter coped with getting moving from a dead stop after I bypassed the switch on the clutch. But I only did this to get home after a clutch cable broke. I really recommend that you purchase a book specifically for the maintenance of your transmission as there are things you need to know beyond what is written in the RAM service manual. It might not be an expensive repair but most of us mechanical enthusiasts have never gone into a transmission. I'm sure its not rocket surgery but its a bit of work to get the tranny out, do the clutch repair, put it back in, only to have it still messed up if you don't do it right. Good luck. Get the word out that you need a transmission and a clutch and you might get lucky.

Just letting everyone know some updates...
This was my first ever transmission rebuild.
In the end, I never needed to rebuild it because the actual problem was in the torque converter. However I didn't know that until i took the whole thing apart and saw that actually the clutches all looked pretty new.

Apparently I fried the torque converter by not using tow mode when I was hauling over 1 ton of material repeatedly in my 3/4 ton truck.

So, I also fried the Power Control Module when I was re-installing the transmission because I did not see there were exposed wires touching each other in the transmission connector wiring.
I also installed the front servo cover upside down, which made it so the servo didn't function properly and I totally melted the band and overheated the transmission.
I also misassembled the valve body TCC valve and this caused no stall / truck dies in 1 or 2.

After removing the transmission 3 times and removing the Valve body a fourth time, I was finally able to get it all correct and working great!
I certainly earned my stripes and I think I'll do much better on any other transmission rebuilds in the future, like my durango that's next in line!

Glad you stuck it out! Also glad you got it working! Most people would have given up
