Default AC Accumulators

I am in the process of replacing some AC components one of which is the Accumulator. Problem is the ones I have ordered online seems to be roughed up coming out of the box. In particular the fins on the radiator. The packing material seems to have become dislodged during shipping and mashing the fins down in places. I bought 2 UAC from Amazon. One of which is not that bad fin wise but has a bent corner. The other (Four Season) which I bought from Autozone also having signs of the same fin damage. Is this normal when ordering these things. I like the UAC because the lines and outer edge of the core are insulated. I would not be so picky if it wasn’t such a pain to get too. Should I be concerned about this?

Evaporator core.

The bent corners would make me nervous, and I wouldn't install them, simply because they ARE such a pain to get to.

Well this is interesting...... I just found this

At the 4:40 mark this guy cuts an evaporator open. Seems the freon only flows through the top of the core and not like a radiator. Time to get my saw out and cut my old one!
