My issue is no heat until moving and I know the PO used stop leak so I am afraid the heater core might be plugged

A good radiator shop should be able to get the core unplugged and repaired since the brass versions are no longer readily available, however, the cost to repair might not be cheap.

I'll have to see if we have any around me. I'm going to keep it no matter what and if I have to swap in a aluminum swivel one.

I started pulling the box out but had to stop because of the rain. But I don't believe it was. I had no loss of coolant, just crappy heat at an idle. You may be right though and I will follow up with what I find. Probably tomorrow

So I am rebuilding the box with new foam and everything (anyone interested in a write up?) And decided to refuse the heater core it looks to new. Ordered new foam and a new AC evaporator it wasn't as plugged as most people but it had some crap on it

All write-ups with photos of the process are helpful! The last major repairs I have to do on my truck are the heater/A/C box, the dash and a double DIN radio.

I’ve also done all of those.
No write ups, but pictures and commentary as I progressed.
Search for posts by me… most will be in the what did you do to your 2nd gen ram today thread.
