Default Copper Heater Core

Anyone know where to get one? I'm pulling my dash tomorrow to clean up some wiring and figured might as well replace the heater core and AC evaporator.

Also need to find something to redo the foam on all the HVAC Ductwork

Sadly you are right. I would try the aluminum ones but funny want the swivel lines, had problems with them in the past.

I'm also considering $325 for Blend Doors Aluminum door kit but may just wait and see what shape mine are in. If they are good I'll just refoam everything replace the AC drier and line that is leaking. MAY even reuse the heater core and AC evaporator if they aren't clogged. But if they are in stuck on the heater core.

Back when i first replaced mine i went with copper. It was not made like the oem one(less fins) and it failed a few years latter. Replaced it with the aluminum ones and it's been working great ever since. Get the one with out the swivel lines (they will leak). Also there is a thread here somewhere that has info on where to get the foam.

Haven't seen that thread. Now the issue is finding a non swivel aluminum heater core

That should be easier to find. Rock Auto's selections have photos of the part.

According to the pictures they all swivel. I know the part stores are out of the question even Napa only sell swivel cores.

When I replaced mine a few years ago there were some non-swivel options but I don't remember where. Mine is Napa and works great. Swivel was my only option though since the dash was staying in the truck.

Any leaks and how long ago did you install it? I can't find the non swivel version anywhere. There is a company that makes them our of brass and copper but is around 8 week lead time. Just don't want it to leak lol
