same code as mine, the p0500……I’ve replaced sensor and wiring (new exhaust melted wiring) and still have the code but I used thicker wire cuz that’s all I had at time…..I’d take a look into the speed sensor on your rear diff

How many different speed sensors are there? Cause I've replaced the output one already

Should be just one for that year truck on the differential. You could have gotten a bad/defective sensor or you may have a wiring issue. Addressing the issues behind each of those codes should get your truck performing the way it should again.

Alright I'll get them figured out then have it scanned again

The only ones I've seen are on the transmission, which one is on the differential?

Oops, sorry - there are two. One on the transmission and one on top of the rear differential. Check both of those sensors and their wiring. You are also getting another code that points to the brake switch at the pedal seems to be faulty (or wiring), in addition to an O2 sensor being bad (or the wiring/relay that controls the heater of the O2 sensor).

I replaced mine with a mopar oem speed sensor (on the diff) plus I re did wiring to connector to where harness goes behind fuel tank (like 20” of wire) but all I had was a thicker gauge wire so I used that…..check engine light is off, Speedo works perfectly, but when doing the key dance trick I still get a stored p0500 code. But again Engine light is OFF…..

I said screw it, it’s got new parts, it’s working, and the times she starts in 2nd I turn truck off and right back on and first gear is there with no issues. I’ve had the start in 2nd gear happen maybe 8 times total…also my truck is a 2002 (3rd gen) so I don’t know if wiring is different….I do have the 5.9l 46re and Chrysler 9.25 rear diff with 3.55 lsd….so same running gear just not sure how my wiring matches to yours

Could the issue you're having be the VSS sensor in the transmission possibly causing your issue?
