Default 97 Ram 46re lost all gears after rebuild

This is my first time posting, so wish me luck.

1997 Ram 1500
5.2l V8
46re 4x4

Installed overhaul kit in the transmission which included all clutches, sealing rings, piston seals, etc.
Remanufactured Torque converterExamined all parts on inside front to back checking for cracks or excessive wear, and examined pump internals for cracks or wear.
Got it put back together in the truck, filled it full on fluid and triple checked it in neutral engine running to make sure.
Was driving the truck down the road after the rebuild, went up a hill and stopped at a stop sign at the top, and that's where it lost everything.
No forward gears, no reverse.
Pulled pan and found that filter was clogged with an excessive amount of metal and pan had metal and a few bigger shavings in it.
Disassembled the valve body to find a broken 3-4 accumulator spring.
Any ideas on what else could have failed or may need replaced?
Am I looking at another rebuild kit?
Thanks for any input. This things becoming a nightmare.

You adjust bands correctly? Was the metal from previous transmission, and maybe that metal cycled through the cooler (would still be in cooler even when rebuilding) and did you flush cooler good? Is the check valve gummed up and not allowing fluid to cycle?

there’s some things to check…

Bands were tightened to 72 in/lbs then backed off two turns for the rear band, 2 1/2 turns for the front.
Blew air through the cooler both directions and it seemed to be clear, and the check valve was deleted.

*UPDATE*
PUlled transmission out today and disassembled front to back to find burnt clutches in the direct drum, a failed inner seal for the direct piston, and a broken bearing in the overdrive unit.
Anyone know where I can get direct clutches, inner and outer direct piston seal, and a bearing kit for the overdrive unit without spending a ton of money?

I don't know if it's a ton of money or not... but, TransmissionCenter.net should be able to get you what you need.

*update*
Ended up putting new high energy clutches in the direct drum, new inner and outer lip seals for direct piston, 3-4 accumulator spring, overdrive bearing kit, and washer kit for the front half of the transmission. Seemed to remove alot of the endplay that it did have. Got it back in the truck, filled full of fluid at about 10 quarts+-. Showed full while in neutral and warm. Adjusted my TV cable and replaced shifter bushings. Took for a test drive and it does the exact same thing. Won't hardly pull in drive unless you step on the gas hard and then it slowly starts to move, but if you put it in 1st it moves a little better but not as it should. Also throwing code 45 which I think is overdrive solenoid circuit malfunction.
i don't know where to go from here
Any advice?
