Default 2001 5.2 Engine swap

What years are ok to swap into an 01 5.2. I have another 96 with a 5.2 wondering if there are differences on intake or heads. Im a ford guy and new to dodges so help would be appreciated!

I think all the years would work. You would have to use your intake on the older engines. 94 and 95 were OBD1 and had EGR. The basic engine is the same. The sensors could be different, but yours should swap.

If I’m not mistaken 98 and up had two coolant temp sensors and pre 98 had 1 or vice Versa. But it can cause issues

I think pre 98 had 2 sensors. He can plug one hole and put his sensor in the other.
