Default Speedometer doesnt work.

The speedometer use to work on and off until one day it hasn't come back. Today I finally got around to replacing both the transmission sensor and rear diff sensor and at first it started to move but i came to a stop and it hasn't moved since. Could there be stripped gears or something else that could be wrong other than sensors?

If its a 2WD truck, check the gear in the transmission and the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) that the gear plugs into. If its a 4WD truck, the VSS and gear are in the transfer case.

Might just be the VSS is not installed properly. It has to be indexed properly for correct gear engagement. May also be stripped drive gear on trans output shaft. Should be able to see it with the VSS out.
