Question tannsmission won't engage any gear

so this is the first time I'm posting , I've searched and can't find anything . ok I have a 2000 2nd gen ram 4x4 its got the 5.9 gas. it has 176,000 on her I drive this truck at least 800 miles a week I've noticed it Kida revs high when in between gears that's been like that for the last year then today I was in a parking lot and noticed a slight thinning noise coming from the transmission ,for sure the trans made it a block away and it like let go of the gear and raved up then it kinda engaged the gear and made it to the job then tried to make it to my hone while driving it slowly was losing the gear kinda slipping coasted off the road grabbed the gear again then lost all gears. after the tow truck dropped it off I went out and tried it she moved forward and backwards then lost all the gears again my fluid is up to level its clean.... any help or advice also there has been a code for the od solenoid since I got the truck I know I'm a *** hole for this I know its just I've been doing other stuff on the. truck like the plenum I pot the Hughes kit.

Disconnect the 8 pin connector for the trans controls. See if it will actually give you any gears. Keep in mind, there won't be ANY automatic function. Start in first, shift up/down as necessary. No overdrive, or tcc either....
