Possible. But, there are so many things that can cause it, it's really hard to say. How old are the plugs/wires/cap/rotor? Do you have good fuel pressure? Coil putting out a good spark?

I think (something I rarely do according to SWMBO) the most common cause of excessive cranking is the fuel pump check valve leaking down, or injector(s) leaking

This is easily tested by just priming the pump three times BEFORE starting, ie key run, off, key run, off, key run, START

If this causes it to consistently fire right up, there's your answer for THAT symptom
