Gears will not engage - Truck wont move
Yes I can, I apologize for not having stated that within the intro.
Yes a release bearing and throwout bearing are the same. I'm leaning towards clutch replacement too. A transmission adapter for a floor jack like this. I use ratchet straps to hold the transmission to the plate. The tilt is the reason I like them. You don't need a $1000 clutch, stock works. Get a set, it usually comes with a plastic alignment tool with the pressure plate and clutch disc. The oil looks like you have a engine leak, if it was from the clutch you would have to refilled the reservoir a few times. https://www.ebay.com/itm/13416831489...kAAOSw5lFiyWOn
In regards to the leak you mentioned, what would be causing it you think? Work that has been done to date is
-oil pump and pan
-double roller timing chain
-water pump and t-stat
-radiator, upper and lower hoses
-harmonic balancer
-idler pulley
-alternator
-starter
-distributor, cap, wires, spark plugs
-fuel injectors
-red head steering gear
-sway bar, tract bar, tie rods, ball joints, pitman arm
-driver and passenger side axels
-hubs, rotors, calipers, brakes
-pace setter shorty headers
-jegs off road y pipe w/ cat delete built in o2 bungle running a Magna flow cat back
-plenum fix
And maybe more that im not remembering off bat.. all parts listed have probably less than 300 miles on them.. this is all on a beat up ol single cab farm truck lol.
I know the list contains several things that would not pertain to the leak, was just trying to jog my memory.
When you get the transmission removed it will be easier to spot where the leak coming from. I suspect valve cover or intake gaskets. When I was looking at your pictures, I noticed there were seeds of some sort. My first thought was it's been used on a farm.
I will keep an eye out once I get it removed thanks again.
Tip: Remove the crank position sensor before dropping the transmission… don’t just unplug it.
This will save damaging it.
Mind you, if you haven’t replaced it yet, you probably should with that many miles on it.
They're a bit of a pita to reach, so doing it now would be better than doing it again later.
