Gen II mechanics are beasts and missing at idle.
Well....The Elves did a half a** job.
I drove it to a gas station, filled up with Brandon gas to further dilute what was left of the old gas, Slight back fire out the exhaust, runs bad. I tossed in a new Denso Oxygen sensor, still pops at idle. While replacing the 02 sensor I did notice some FUBARED wires going to the Neutral safety switch and the 8 pin Solenoid...Damn mice.
I see they make an upgraded pig tail...Getting to it is the problem.

I can crawl around/under my Ram all day long, it's just a bitch to work on compared to my Dakota race truck, everything is hidden, but not like the #6 spark plug on a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder.
F that. I finally pulled the intake manifold, no one had ever changed that plug in 240K miles.

Funny, I find the 2nd Gen engine compartments spacious -- and even that's an understatement.
Sure, the distributor is hidden a bit but on a topside creeper it's 100% manageable.
I've been wrenching on a lot of newer cars like Mazdas and Ford Focii et al and those can get REALLY interesting. I choose to just lean into the challenge with interesting combos of extensions, wobbles, inspection mirrors propped at weird angles with lights propped at equally weird angles.
I'm NOT standing up for stupid engineering choices but I also wore myself out yelling at clouds....
