it looks like a synchro but its not the actual synchro, the synchro goes on the conical piece just above it and from what ive read is that the gears are a 3 piece design, but ive never seen the individual parts for sale. just from fiddling with things while theyre out of the trans, the synchro hub slider slides onto the synchro which sort of lines up with the piece i have thats broken to engage the gear. thanks for all the help and input, ill clean it up and put it back together and post how it goes so if anybody else has this issue they can refer to this thread.
